Join the NoMa community to give your feedback on the finalists for the NoMa Underpass Design Competition! A community meeting will be held Thursday, October 16, from 6-8 PM at the Lobby Project, 1200 First Street, NE. Please RSVP here. Can't make the meeting? You can give your feedback in two other ways: Images from the 10 finalists and accompanying survey forms will be displayed in the Lobby from October 14 to October 17 during business hours. In addition, the NoMa Parks Foundation will offer an online survey in mid-October as well. 

The NoMa Parks Foundation received 248 submissions from 14 countries when it launched the NoMa Underpass Design Competition in April. The purpose of the competition is to fill NoMa's four dark underpasses at Florida Avenue and M, L, and K Streets, NE, with light and art, transforming them into safe, inspiring and beautiful spaces. With community feedback in hand, the jury will select the winners by year-end. Installation of the winning designs will begin in 2015. The project is a partnership between the NoMa Parks Foundation, the District of Columbia government, WMATA, and Amtrak.
